TPMS Glitch

Evening gents, currently on my honeymoon in France, earlier on we had been parked ip for a good few hours, came back to car and drive off, was going about 30kmh and the red tpms light came on. Stopped the vehcile, all 4 tyres seemed ok (non runflats) So i drove on for about 5 miles and car has now been sat for an hour. Tyres are still ok. I did do a reinitialisation when i first stopped and the light hasnt come back on, could it be a glitch?

Was the tire cold (maybe earlier in morning) and just under the threshold? Then once you drove it, heated up some air causing higher pressure readings and being over the threshold?

Do you have the latest TPMS, which displays each tyre's actual pressure, or is it the older version which just changes the affected wheel's on-screen colour?
If it's the latter, it takes quite a pressure drop to signal an alert, as it relies on rolling circumference difference as detected by the ABS sensors.
You say that all 4 tyres "seemed" ok, do you not carry a tyre pressure gauge and pump?

The temp in the morning was about 20 degrees, thrn whilst she was parked the temp rose to a good 25 ish and car was in direct sunlight. Nope i dont carry a pump etc. Tpms system is basic i think, dont get individual readouts as far as im aware, just a red light and message to check tyres or drive at 50mph if on runflats.

A tyre pressure gauge is cheap and it doesn't take up very much room in the glove box, but it can instantly tell you whether you have a false indication or an actual problem.
I check my pressures weekly - call me obsessive if you like, but I'm not alone in recognising the importance of correct tyre inflation.

I suppose because i've never had any real issues with tyres/punctures before i've never felt the need to purchase one. But will get one now i'm back in UK.

thank you for your response

Why don't you go to the nearest garage/petrol station and check the actual tyre pressures?
