Turbo Tuned in the Aloha State
I finally got to installing my Turbo Tuner in my e90 and man was it worth it. First of all, it took me forever to get the damn tmap sensor to come off. After working on it for way too long, I called Jeff @ Eurobahn to get some help. The main problem I had was I was scared to yank on the wires to disconnect the sensor. After talking to Jeff, I jammed a small plastic piece I made as far as I could to lift the tab up. I pulled gently on the wires and the damn thing finally came off. After that, the install went smooth......and the real story begins.
I couldn't wait to get in the car and start driving. I started up my car and everything looked normal; no warning lights whatsoever. I cruise around my neighborhood until normal temperature then it was all over. From a stop light, I started off on a slow roll then punched it to about 5k then shifted to second then a little over 5k then into third. I was over 80mph in no time. The power was incredible and the torque is unbelievable. I thought I was going to lose it when I was shifting to 3rd because I wasn't used to the extra power. My car was a totally different driving machine. If my car feels this way with the tt, I can imagine how the procede, xcede and others must feel. This is plenty enough power for me and most definitely for a lot of those people wondering which tuner to use; my slight whiplash can vouch for that. I'm glad I chose the tt and together with my '08 e90, I think I really had an awesome Christmas. Driving home, I couldn't help but smile. I would be smiling even more because on my way home, there was a g37s at the stop light. I already raced one stock vs stock so I knew this was going to be fun. At the light, I turn to see who is driving in the g37 and it was a guy and his hot girlfriend. He gave me the nod and started revving his car. It was on like Donkey Kong. The light turned green and he got the jump on me(He had a 6mt as well). When i got into second i caught him up and then hit third and I was gone. We got to another stop light. He looked at me and said "What the hell do you have in that car?!?!?" I told him "Happy New Year!" Forgive me....I just bought my first BMW....2007 335I e90....is there a specific turbo tuner that you used???

Close story to mine. Today a black/black G35s comes up behind me and darts to the open lane next to me. State Highway- 3 lane each way. No one in front of us. Light turns green and I just kind of wait on him....gas is high right now .He nails it and gets almost two lengths before I said "what the hell". I had two on him so fast it was funny. As I was passing him I looked over and his face was priceless.

Too bad I didn't bring my laptop to Kailua over the holidays...I'd have been happy to assist with your TT install . Of course we would need to sort the car on the H2, or some night "Testing" near sandy beach with the locals.
The North shore was really flat this December , so I could have spent more time "Intake tuning " your 335 too Oops , can't say that phrase here Enjoy your NEW horsepower ! Great holidays with the Ohana in the Islands this year... Aloha Marty |
