ATTENTION: E90Post.com offering free webpages and email for all members!!
As a courtesy to all E90Post.com members, we're offering all members their own subdomain under e90post.com.
What does this mean? This means you will get your own web address based on your username – (for example, http://jwocky.e90post.com). You can use your web space to create your own web page and and/or to upload files/images/videos to share with others. You'll receive FTP access to your own account, along with a POP3 e-mail address – (for example, jwocky@e90post.com). If you're interested, send me a private message with the password you'd like to use to login to your account. I will send you a PM once your account is ready (should take less than a day). Click on this link to send me a private message: http://www.e90post.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=3 Here are links to some of our member's webpages: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1415 For those members who already have webpages hosted on e90post.com, here is a really good (and free) software you can download to easily create a photo album to use as your webpage http://jalbum.net/index.jsp |

I don't mean to be an idiot, but i'm not a pro at this website thing.
I tried to publish my to broken1.e90post.com into the public_html folder with the 1st page called index.htm (it's a test page). When i try to goto the link (broken1.e90post.com) i get this error : Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request I just need info as to what to name my first page, and what folder to publish it in. The newbie that I am, I will be using front page! :-) Thanks guys...I'm gonna try and figure it out meanwhile... |

In my PM in request to the offer on this thread, I had told Jwocky the following (best to my recollection because I can't find a copy of the PM): "This site is the best ever.... Just out of curiosity, and by no means should you feel obligated to tell me this, but I was wondering how the site maintained itself? I don't see the gratuitous advertisements and such you see on other forums. Well, whatever it is, I hope the magic continues"
Or something like that. Anyways, with that said, all I can say is thanks to Jwocky and MarkE90M3 and anyone else responsible for this site. This place is truly the best. And I hope that this site stays the way it is and continues to have the high quality of input and members it has shown thus far. Maybe its just me, but over at other forums, like I don't know, one that rhymes with bimmerfest, I sometimes get the feeling that the admins or whoever are kowtowing to the sponsors in a way that restricts or inhibits the free flow of info (like in the ED forum). And another thing, though I understand that these forums are open to the general public so anyone can join and share (like haters, or dealers, or dealer-haters,...), I've found that for the most part, everyone that contributes here is not only an enthusiast, but pro-consumer (if you get what I mean). In summary, thanks for the great forum. If anything I've said struck a nerve, please start a new thread and let's try to keep this one free of extraneous posts. Thanks. |

Thanks!
I've got to give a really big thank-you to Mark & Jason- they really are great admins!
Since May 2005, I've been filling the forum server with an obscenely large amount of video data- you can see the end products in this thread. The boys were good enough to give me enough space to do what I wanted, until I reached that unfortunate stage- 'quota exceeded'! They must like what I'm doing, because they were kind enough to let me continue 'playing' with even more video footage! It must be costly, in terms of expense & time, for the admins to run this forum well. So, if the boys are in need of a little member support, then I am quite happy to Paypal a few bucks their way! All the best. Viv |
