Proud new 335d owner

Hi all,
I'm happy to say that I'm the proud new owner of a Titanium Silver 335d e90. I admired the power and simultaneous efficiency of our car for a while now and an opportunity came up for me to get the car. I really wanted the LeMan blue but could not find it with the iDrive anywhere. I've been loving the ride ever since I got it. So happy I got it.. and that smile that creeps on my face when i roll onto the throttle 425 ft-lbs of torque hits me is priceless.

I will own this car until it no longer brings a smile to my face. I've been learning a lot reading the forums and hope to be able to contribute back to the community soon... for now I am DEFINITELY enjoying the ride

Congrats! Nice color, I like the Titanium Silver. Enjoy it! I've been very happy with my 335d so far, I get a big fat "torque" eating grin on my face every time I drive it!

JBD $280, tune $1300, a tune is good if you need to delete or code out emission equipment, a JBD is raw power, at a cheap price...

Nah man. A JBD is akin to plugging a plastic vagina.

I prefer the real thing.

LMAO.

Spend the $ on the real thing. JBD may actually cause you problems in the end. It just fools the DDE by modifying certain parameters.

Tune is better in every way.

I sell anyone my Tuned ECU at a good price, then I can put a JBD back on, PM me if interested, Ill just trade ECU's plus cash, that's how much I prefer a tune over a JBD...this is coming from a guy who had both...a tune is good for mapping out emissions, the money saved on a JBD would fix any problem a JBD MAY cause, if their is one, never heard of one yet...

Yeah, but does a JBD plus spending some extra solve the problems with emissions without causing other problems?? Just a question.

@dieselracer : Dude I feel sorry for you for the fact that your car is not performing the way it should after the tune. I can't stress this enough, but something else is up with your car. I can bet on this, that even if you flash your car to stock, and put a JBD on it, it will perform the same, or even worst. Most of the times a piggyback just modifies the fuel rail pressure which simply means "more fuel = more power". A tune actually modifies the maps in the ECU, and all the related values. A tune is the proper way to get the power out of your car. You don't even have a clue how much hard work it takes to properly tune out a car and set the parameters right. Stop criticizing the tune man, get your car diagnosed and fixed.

Congrats OP on the purchase. Have fun with it first before thinking about mods. Learn what the car can do first so then you will know if you need mods.
And for Pete's sake, if all you do is drive city, then take it out every couple of weeks and open it up. Get the revs up go fast enjoy it!

I cant take my car BMW because im Tuned, I know the problem, but without the spiderboot MPF im fucked, Im having to flash my ecu back to stock with a d-can cable, then I will take my car to the dealer to get fixed, then I will have paid $1300 for a tune that will be flashed back to stock and the only way I can get my car tuned again is to send it back to Canada or wait for the spiderboot, which is no where near ready and no set date in the future, my car has code 429A, with a JBD I would have been fixed and back to racing, I have not driven my car at the track in 2 months, as I wait for the spiderboot, Ill sell anyone my ecu and I can put a jbd back on after getting my car fixed and actually drive and have fun...now I have a flashed computer that is stock for $1300... I have a usless BMW warranty, a usless tune all for $4500 bucks, I never knocked the tune the problem is with the SPIDErBOOT, why else go with that tune, all tunes are great this one was suppose to offer something different...SPIDERBOOT

My car has been diagnosed for 2 months, I have scanned it 5 times and had it in 3 different shops, we know the problem, but having a BMW warranty with a tuned ecu is a no no, my dealer will void my warranty, at this point I just want to drive my car, take the money on the tune, and buy some gas and have fun, without the siderboot im FUCKED, do you have any idea on the release date ot it, if not quit telling me what I need to do to my car and that I need to get it properly fixed, give me a break, get me the spiderboot and I will never post again and be happy...

Spiderboot is in your car and it works. Its the MPF that is not ready yet.

I doubt that you know the difference in between SPIDERBOOT and MPF.

Do you know anyone local that can do coding/flashing? There are even several guys on the forum that can do this remotely. Have them flash back to stock, then bring it to the dealer and let them do their thing. I'm sure JR will work with you on the retune after you get the car fixed. Or maybe you can sell it like you want. Just an idea....
