Haven't tried them, but for that price they are tempting...

I've been shopping as well. While I do see they are bright, it almost seems that the brighter you go they look to bright. Almost like there is a larger difference between the two rings. Anyone else notice that? I wonder if the 80W is overkill? Thoughts?

Customers who had our previous lower watt versions have been nothing but satisfied.

I just want to say I had the 60w version before I received these. The 80w pair is much brighter than the 60w, they are much more noticeable in the daytime! I love the fact that these have a small built-in fan to help with cooling. The aluminum bodies seem like they are much more efficient.

The install of the 80w kit was actually easier than the install of the 60w because of the shape of the housing of the 80w. They are almost like a handle to hold while turning the bulb. All in all, I am happier with the 80w kit. I must say Jeff and everyone over at HPB are great to deal with and I look forward to dealing with that staff again in the future.

These pictures are in broad day light in direct sun light against the car. So this is an extreme condition and they are still visible.

I would personally put nothing less then 80W on my own vehicle. Brightness per dollar these can't be beat.

Had these installed for about 3 weeks now. The bulbs are high quality and emit bright light that's visible during day light, and looks great at dusk.

The bulbs themselves are pretty beefy - large rectangular shaped heat sink with an integrated fan. On my coupe, it was a tight fit - but if you just keep at it they will eventually go in.

Typical for E92 rings, the inner ring looks brighter than the outer ring. I got these because of the price and good reviews.

I though that OEM bulbs were lower than 80W? Can the wires handle this?

They don't pull power in the same principals as an incandescent bulb.

I have "40W LED" in my kitchen at home and they only draw something like 2.5 Watts of actual power. 80W designates output equivalent not current draw, the current draw is actually less then stock.

any further reviews on these? Judging by the size of the heatsink/fan they look like a biaatch to install.

Any flickering during lock/unlock fade?

Also, lifespan? My last LED halos burned out after not much over a year.

Error Free, Flicker Free and they do dim.

1 year warranty. They should last longer then competing models without fans. The fan module allows these units to run very cool, almost cool to the touch (but please dont try). We've tested other competing units and in less then a minute they would burn you.

Heat is the #1 killer of LED's which is why we had HPB implement fans for extra output and longevity.

Here are mine. On cloudy days or at night they are great. Sunny days not very bright and the design of the light tubes limits the brightness to the outer ring. Overall happy, good price.

I bought these Black Friday and am pretty happy with them. Got the package deal with the interior LED bulbs.
They were a bitch to install due to the large heatsink. I removed the power steering bracket and that other thing to get better access. After that, I was golden.

I'll take some pics later and post them.
