Bluetooth streaming options

I regularly hire cars through work for long journeys and always get bluetooth streaming which I love

I always assumed the only way to get this in my 07' E92 was to retrofit CIC at great cost but have recently found that one can buy a bluetooth receiver to plug into my existing AUX input in the armrest.

Does anyone have one of these who can tell me the pros and cons?

Considerations include

Battery life (Self charging through AUX - any chance?)
Sound quality
Ability to switch between receiver and car system to receive phonecalls
Steering wheel controls (very unlikely I know)

All suggestions of specific models greatly welcomed

Garage List
Cheapest by far is one of these:

You may also need a super-expensive 90 degree adaptor:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-3-0-A-...item3ce185efb5

Plug it in under your armrest into a usb charger, connect the 3.5mm lead to the aux in, and off you go.

If you have the stock car phone kit installed, it all gets muted as usual when a call is made.

If your just looking for great quality music and have an iPhone i HIGHLY recommend the air enabler, can be found on Amazon $50 and I absolutely love it, you can easily hide it in armrest. Only down side is the 20 sec boot time. I found that it perfect time to start car and wait for the 30 sec warm up idle to drop.

Cheers both, I opted for a £15 ish jobbie which on paper has good battery life, is small and cuts out for calls etc (still don't understand how it can hold two bluetooth connections??)

It would be great to have one that could self charge but I only have an aux port unfortunately otherwise I think you can get ones to display etc
