After having 3 cars in the past with EBC discs I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, they all warped

When would an 'extra load' wear sensor be required?

My hope is that this was a problem with early designs and by now the problem is sorted.

Guys it was a problem with the early designs. I wouldn't be selling them if they were shite.

I'll be using the EBC discs on my car myself soon.

So if I take my car to a BMW independent, will i get the stamp in my book for replacing front and rear brakes?
The EBCs arent OEM, but they are an upgrade?
I can obviously keep the receipt for the brakes with my service receipts.

Don't bother stamping your service book. Its just brakes which aren't a serviceable item. So it won't affect your service history.

Only thing that non-oem discs/pads can affect is warranty. But they have to prove it was the discs/pads that caused your fault. So its pretty safe to assume you'll be alright.

Thanks Mob17, I just see the front and rear brakes on the check boxes in the book.
I think uprated brakes must be a positive.

They just put the brakes on there so people assume you have to get brakes done by BMW to keep your FBMWSH.

The stock brakes are decent, good enough for daily driving, but when really pushing hard they do fade pretty quickly.

What discs did you go for? Could you give me the part number, as i'm not sure what the 3GD discs are.

What would you guys estimate as the time/cost for replacing all discs and pads (and 2 wear sensors) on an e92 335i?

I'm supplying all the parts.
