Re-Shipping / forward Shipping from the US
Hi Guys,
Has anyone used shipping forwarding from the US. I've done some quotes on some small things and seems expensive. Anyone have an experience? Thanks |

priceusa - I've had a bad experience with the lady that runs the thing. I ordered, item went out of stock, had to fight to get the money back or ordered from another place. Shit customer service imo but that was about 3-4 yrs ago.
also, it really depends what you're shipping over. find out what size the package is going to be and try out various forwarding companies. Fedex, UPS, USPS varies a lot in price also.. USPS being the cheapest option usually. |

If I was going to ship rims or tyres I would use tirerack.com. However break your shipments into lots of 2 items (2 x rims or 2 x tyres) and space them apart, or you will feel the wrath of customs fees! (Tirerack ships 2 wheels/tyres to a package)
If I was going ship something else, I would use shipito.com, I just used them recently and I was impressed, both with the shipping charges and the service. I ship heaps from shops in the US and the shipito service was just as easy as getting a package sent direct from shop, albeit with the 1 extra step. Shipito also allows you to collect multiple packages at their end, and then ship them in 1 consignment, which I am sure other similar companies do as well, great feature! |

also if it's over 1k AUD you will be subject to taxes if the sender declares it over 1k AUD.
hence breaking it up in to 2 packages may be better also ![]() |

Already got one of them, I am getting sorely tempted by a CSL bootlid though. We have to pay duty and taxes on anything imported over a measly £35 which sucks!
If I personally bring stuff back I'm allowed about £400, I can get a CSL carbon bootlid for just under that, even though the exchange rate for us has halved the the last 10 years it's still a lot cheaper than anything I could get in the UK. I'd have to check with the airline how much it would cost to bring one as excess baggage, can't weigh much though. In reality I'll probably buy one then have second thoughts about the hassle and leave it in Australia, then I'll have to resell it on here! |
