Broken Valve cover bolt(need a mechanic advice)
I have a 2006 330i N52 engine (approx. 33K miles), discover oil leak at VCG along the passenger side and at spark plug boot. Broken bolt locate on passenger side toward the front(see pic). I have new bolts on order (whole set).
1- When I install new bolt, use Anti-seize or Loctite on new bolt? 2- Torque new bolt to 7nm. I search and found other info to torque 7nm plus Angle torqued 90 degree. Do i need to do the 90 degree torque? if yes, please explain how to do this 90 degree torque. Here the link where i got this from. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=312532 Thanks in advance for any help. |
