I think all the MY08's got screwed...it should of came with the factory one thats rechargeable...I can't imagaine why they would do away with such a good feature...Just doesn't make sense...but i have an 07 and i love my rechargeable flashlight!!!

MY08 didn't come with a flashlight because BMW used the money to invest in the LED license plate lights

the tiny flashlight is located under the armrest, tucked away in a small holster underneath the top of the cover.
Maybe some '08 folks overlooked its location.

NO, it is located in the glove compartment. Small holster underneath the top of the cover is for the ipod.

mine was under the armrest.
There are actually 2 leather pockets there,
1 for the Ipod or for my knife
and the 2nd (tiny) one for the flashlight....that is where my flashlight was and i'm sticking to it, maybe trolls took yours ;-)

My SA gave me one in a plastic bag...said they took it out of the glove box like my e46. It's a LED...nice white light and pretty bright for a flashlight the size of a pen.

Didn't see a holder for it under the arm rest...
