Live power feed

Just purchased a Road Angel Gem+ And would like to permantly install it on my dash and would like some advice as to where to take the power from? I removed my ash tray and cigerete lighter last year and replaced it with a sunglass holder, so no longer have that option.

The wiring should still be there?
You can just wire into it?

Is that the easiest location or can I take it from somewhere closer to the windscreen?

There is an ignition feed under the passenger side near the fuse box. But i am not sure where it is sadly... But i did use it for my air setup previously

Hello, I have the eyeglass tray (stock, no smokers package) in my E92. Would anyone know if there is a wiring harness or something under there to grab 5volts from? I want to add a usb port in or near the tray...

Thanks in advance!

There are several spare live power feeds directly from the fuse box. You will of course need an inline fuse if you use one of these. You can crimp a spade connector and insert as if it were a fuse. Check the fuse listings and placements in your manual.

Thanks Pacman, but I think you mean i'd have to run a wire from the fuse box? I really don't want to have to do that if I can just tap into something that might be right there.
