I placed my order on the 8th, went into production the 12th, and was done with production on the 17th. Several days later I could have sworn the 1800 number said it was enroute....the past couple days now it's gone back to saying my car is released to a carrier and awaiting transport to the port of exit. So I have no clue what's going on. I've been meaning to call the 1800 number when the office is open or the dealer, but I've just been so busy with work.

NONE of you guys have room to complain. lol My car was finished on Nov 27th and is STILL waiting for a vessel! 5 weeks it has been sitting in Germany. I've called BMNA, my SA, his SM, they have called the ports here on the US side and they are trying to contact the other side of the pond to find out WTF is going on with my car. Talk about frusterating!

I ordered my car on December 8th but it has been "Awaiting Transport" for about 2 weeks. The wait has been driving me nuts! Plus my car has to go to California, which will take 4 weeks from Germany, right?
I thought it might take longer to build our cars during the holidays, but I was hoping shipping our cars wouldn't. As it turns out, they built it quickly but shipping it is taking a long time. I'll let you know when they ship it. |

I just checked this web site: http://www.dbh.de/index.php?id=151&L=0 and entered Port Hueneme (in California). I got this schedule for Jan 4 through Feb 1.
![]() Ships are leaving Jan 4, 16, 18, 23, 26, 29 and Feb 1 and it takes about 23 days. So now the question becomes: "What vessel will our cars be on?" If we don't get on the Tarifa, it's another 12 - 14 days to get on one of the next two! |

I think I heard somewhere that BMW West Coast uses the NYK Lines. That might help narrow it down.

NYK and WWL both ship to the west cost.
Today I posted to the "Vessel Tarifa Departed 1-4-08" thread to show how I found out my car was on the Tarifa, when it will arrive in California and where the vessel currently is. Now all I have to do is be patient, which is VERY difficult. |
