Car's running great, but recalled for fuel pump

My 2007 335i has been running great without issue. I got scheduled to bring my car in for fuel pump recall. Any concerns I should have?

Just make sure your JB4 is set to map 0 and you should be good

With a 2007 you should be out of warranty, right? If so, don't worry about it and just make sure your tune (JB4) is set to Map 0 so they can communicate with the car if need be.

What prompted you to take it in, did you get a recall notice or something? I have an '07 with the original high pressure fuel pump and I know there's a good will warranty for 10 yrs or 120,000 miles if I'm not mistaken but I thought your pump had to go bad to get it replaced under the warranty?

Seems like you have a few years left on that extended warranty unless the car is very high mileage - but a free pump is a free pump. They'd probably update your software as well if you're on the old version that doesn't prime when you unlock the car. Guessing this was already done though or that pump you have now would probably dead.

My Vin must have been on the recall list I guess. My car has no warranty. I'll remove jb4 so it won't have any issues just in case.

Garage List
Remove the JB4 because they may update the software on the DME and you don't want any issues.

I did remove JB4, the Fuel pump was replaced and i'm back in business. I'm going to remove the Riss Racing oil catch can and replace the PCV tube with a new one before reinstalling JB4.

While replacing the tube, look into going with an upgraded PCV as well:
