FS: Corsa 3.5" Cat-Back, Dual Rear Exit with Single 4.0" Polished Pro-Series Tips
I am selling this Corsa system that I purchased two years ago and was on my 2009 335i sedan for about a year. This is the full system (downpipes back) and is quite an aggressive sound and can be considered loud by some. For the sake of specs, here is the link to Corsa's site for this particular system. Info: http://www.corsaperformance.com/view...=14861&cfg=628 This kit retails for over $1300 new from most sites. I really liked the sound but ended up going with a quad setup and Remus. I am asking $875.00 OBO. Again this is all the 3.5" FULL piping and not just the axle-back. The left tip has some light scratching where it would occasionally rub the exhaust cut out opening on the bumper. This is mostly hidden once it is installed however. Everything has been boxed and wrapped in the original packaging and is waiting on a new home. Includes all original hardware. Exhaust is located in Phoenix, Arizona for those that would like to pick it up otherwise it is around 80lbs to ship UPS ground. Buyer pays shipping. Paypal only transaction. Please PM me with questions. Thanks. |

I can tell you from experience this exhaust is far from quiet. I have had it both with catted downpipes and without. It is pretty aggressive before with catted DPs and then really opens up when you go completely catless. A lot louder than my Remus race with factory midcats. It burbles and backfires really nice. I actually miss that part of it the most.

Well wondering about performance going from 3.5 to 2.5 at the mufflers kinda defeats the purpose? or will it speed up because of the reduction?

I am no engineer by any means but the main piping (it is one pipe) is 3.5" and then it splits to (2) 2.5" pipes for the exhausts. I think in this case it is actually opening up more instead of getting more restrictive. That's 5" of exhaust flow instead of 3.5".

I dont think thats how it plays out the 3.5 will out flow dual 2.5 exhaust any day of the week. I'm not an engineer either but been doing a little research. So again I wonder if the 2.5 at the end will hurt performance?

I think this is the same logic behind people saying that the aftermarket catless downpipes are 3inch and taper down to a 2.25in (I think) neck to bolt on to the stock 2.25 exhaust piping. As such, we all still have great performance gains from them. I would suspect the same holds true for the exhaust. That and I also remember reading that you would have to be pushing some serious gases out (like 600hp+) to even challenge the stock 2.25" piping. I never noticed any performance restriction but I was coming from a stock exhaust car so this setup felt like a whole different beast altogether. |

In any case, a nice exhust! I actually may pull the trigger on this; was going to get VRSF, but they keep delaying their redesign...
