How to set up a forum?
Hey guys!
We all use this forum but does anyone know how to set up a forum? I am working on setting up my own forum but not about BMW's or cars so I won't be competing with BimmerPost at all! I am working on a project to help dispell the myths and fears about other places and other cultures. I want to set up a forum that would discuss other cultures. Essentially you would be able to say where you went what you expected or what is the common thoughts about the area and what you learned or thought of. In addition there might be threads about: 1)Who and who you used this information and who you shared it with. 2)Pictures from your latest trip 3)Trip discussions (you can't miss this resturant or this spot) 4) A place for perhaps travel agents to advertise special fares. But the majority would be about what your learned. the idea here is that most Amercians think that the US is number one and great but have never seen another culture and know what people do or why they do it. For instance. I went to Cuba a few years ago. Most people think of it as poor, dirty and rampant crime. I found that while it was poor, the people are very happy and crime is VERY low. In fact its more like George Orwell's 1984 than the rampant crime we think of. Etc, etc. Or one might talk about how in Europe a meal is not something to rush through. an hour or 2 hour meal with friends discussing is commonplace where in the US especially in a resturant if they don't serve you and get you out quick its bad service. This might be a great place to share your ED trips too! Especially if you visit somewhere you've never been before. So I am looking for a few things if you guys can help. What software are you using or know of to create such a forum like this one? Are there specfic servers or companies that are better to host and any other tips you might have for me to start such a site. Thanks everyone! Randy |

How much does vBulletin cost, or how is it priced?

I've setup, configured, and admin'd 5 phpBB forums. It's not difficult at all.
