Electric Execuhitch For Sale

Hi Guys:

I finally got around to posting my brand new, never installed Execuhitch (Invisihitch) for the 335d.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16851628

Let me know if you have any questions.

I sure like the 2" receiver hitch but can't stomach that price. Perhaps I could take my uhaul one back off and cut the 1-1/4" off and weld on the 2" piece. Not planning to tow but would like to use a cargo tray for when too much luggage instances occur.

PR likes his Execuhitch. I think he has only used it for bike rack to date (same here for me). We don't have the wiring for the turn signals. Best of luck on the sale.

I couldn't find the electric version on their site. Is it listed?

Also, does it require cutting? I couldn't find that information on their site either. I only saw that there was no "visible" bumper cutout.

PR had to cut the bottom of his bumper cover. If you're standing there behind the car, I don't think you would see the cut. If you're laying on the ground looking up at bumper, his pictures show it to be pretty substantial. I will hunt up his pics and post. I think the other hitch thread has those, though.

[EDIT: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=hitch&page=3, see post #50. there are 2 pictures. One is a uhaul hitch on another forum member's kitchen floor. Bottom photo is PR's rear bumper with the cut out.]

Thanks for the link. I knew I saw it somewhere; I just couldn't remember where.

ewo and moose the execuhitch weighs around 40 lbs made out of steel and you hv to remove the OEM back bumper plates and add on the hitch there is no way around it. and yes a little cutting , make sure you use a dremmel tool. Otherwise the product is superb BUT EXPENSIVE!!!

BTW Thanks cuda for the assistance

Execuhitch doesn't offer the electric version anymore- I guess they are tying to keep costs down. I really like the fact that you don't have to worry about a mechanical key getting gummed up to secure your hitch. Hazard lights to the trick.

You're looking for a needle in a haystack. Probably easier/cheaper to go the westfalia route like I did if you don't like the domestic options. The Westfalia is rated something silly, don't recall exact number but more than any other option. The receiver and rear bar were 76lbs shipping weight.

This guy did a much better job taking pictures than I did. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=588084 If you're legitimately serious about getting one, I can direct you to the proper avenues to get one for less than an arm and a leg. The hitch will bump the urea tank slightly, if you've done the abc's and your tank fell off, then it's of no consequence. Otherwise you can gently dent the tank with a heat gun like I did (until it fell off anyway) or have a buddy with a welder do some minor massaging like the guy on bimmerfest did.
