Lil-pinki's e92 335d - Velvet Purple - Engine Problems Resolved

Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster here.

I've been meaning to do this for a while now but only getting pictures uploaded now. Sold my e46 coupe and bought a 335d about 2 months ago now. Had been searching for one for some time until this one came up so made the trip over to England to get it. Coming from a 320d it's been a heck of change but even with this being my daily the power puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

Have quite a few things planned over the next few months so will update this as I go.

Spec:

2007 e92 335d Individual
Velvet Purple Metallic Paint
Individual Merino Champagne Leather Interior with Purple Stitching
I-Drive
Bi-xenons

Anyway here's how it stood when I bought it.

Nice !

Colour really suits the car, I've never been a fan of light interiors like, but each to their own.

What does the button below the lever to pull the seats forward do ? I have a e92 but haven't got that button on the seats.

Allows you to move the seat forward and back so that it makes it easier for someone to jump in the back.

Surprised you don't have them ?

Your car has semi-electric seats. OP has fully electric seats.

It's definitely an individual colour as I was looking for one. I think it's actually called Velvet Blue. I remember seeing this car advertised. TellyAddicts on here had another one with similar spec.

Yeah this one did have me a little worried at the start, every picture the dealer sent me looked to be a different colour

It is seriously dependent on camera / lighting conditions, somedays you would swear it's le-mans blue and other days its as purple as can be!

Thanks mate! It definitely needs a few mods but I'll get there eventually

That they definitely do, when I was there I spent more time looking at all the other cars there than looking at this!!

Haha funny you should say that, when I first saw the car advertised my first thought was how much would it cost to replace the interior... but it has definitely grown on me (except the wood trim )

So yeah, that was exactly my thinking too...

After only a few days of having the car i decided enough was enough, the wood trim had to go. Found a company that refinish bmw trim so removed all the interior trim and sent it off to be refinished in Piano Black.

Will get some better pictures taken at the weekend.

stunning! i hunted for quite awhile for that colour but gave up, if only it had black leather would be perfection imo!

Enjoy it!

So is the beige leather..you going to re-trim that as well hehe?!

Dark Poplar actually looks much more amazing on a black interior (in my opinion of course) and I'm not really a wood interior person normally.

Love the car, colour and the piano finish is awesome. Sooo much better. Like how you've done the trim around the radio as well. Brilliant idea

Haha champagne mate...champagne :P there's many things on the cards but don't think a re-trim is one of them

Haven't actually seen it on a black interior so can't say either way, but it definitely wasn't my cup of tea with the cream interior! My dad liked it though haha

When you say rare, how rare are we talking?
