Mashimarho is flying out to Seattle December 5

So, as many of you heard, I have plans to move out to Seattle soon. When the time comes, I'll ship my cars out here too.

I'm flying out December 5-8 to scope out the area, since I've never been out there before.. Are there any meets/shows/places to go during that time frame? I'd like to possibly meet some new people and/or utilize my time to make some friends. I know it will probably rain, but that doesn't phase me, because I come from the lands of the ice and snow.

Also, anything that I MUST do while I'm there? Maybe things to see/do/eat?

The scene here is awful compared almost any other city. I would be happy to even get 10 e9x friends.

Do what the tourists do. If you haven't been, go to Pike place market, space needle, Columbia tower, belvedere park, etc.

That's what I did when I first moved to Portland, OR. Went up to Seattle and became a tourist.

Check out the three dealers (Bellevue, Seattle and Tacoma), and the plethora of independent shops.

Check out the indoor climbing wall at REI in Downtown Seattle.

Go skiing - Crystal Mt. is the best, Stevens Pass and Alpental good, too.

Ride a ferry if it's nice weather. Pretty cheap if you walk-on, cars are like $15 or more.

Experience our lovely traffic. Seems like no-one knows how to drive when it rains.

Nothing seems to be organized with BMWCCA for that weekend, sorry.

I think Jm3as needs to set up another meet. And that's the perfect weekend if we meet Sat Cuz I leave for India the 13th for a few weeks.

Not a Seattle guy but i would definitely go to pikes place kind of gives you the vibe of Seattle all at once .

if your not a city guy this combined with the traffic (the way they drive there ) will be good times . i like the casino in Tacoma won big last time i was there

Lol! I just hope to blend it. My car already sticks out like a sore thumb as is. I have no clue where abouts yet. That's why I'm planning on coming out so early.. I want to see the area and take a look around.

Don't worry about it. Many more BMWs here than in MI. Some areas (I live in downtown Bellevue), the guys in Porsches and Bentley's and Ferrari's and whatever will look down on you. Even M3's get little love (of course they're a little understated to begin with...)
