Track Day at Thunderhill

Attended my second HPDE with the 335i at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows CA. I’m a novice driver and this was my fourth event at this venue. We had access the main track and the new Thunderhill West two mile track that features some tighter sections that were fun and challenging. This time out, I added some SS brake lines, EBC yellowstuff pads, and Motul RBF600 brake fluid. I also installed a BMS oil cooler thermostat bypass and set the heater to 84F (fan speed 4). Oil temps maxed out at 250F, much better than the 270F previously, at similar ambient temperatures (mid 60’s F). I shifted with the paddles (M3 DCT type) in manual mode and used a plastic washer under the throttle to prevent kick-downs. The car performed well for six thirty minute sessions without issue.
