To Senior modder on Stage 2 turbos.
Good day Seniors.
I have confirmed a stage 2 turbo for my ride and the down time is going to be 2-3 weeks. Currently my ride is FBO (forged FMIC) and COBB AP V3 customed tunned. Questions 1) What do I need to upgrade while waiting the turbos to come in ? ie. LPFP ? Which types ? 2) Do I really need to upgrade my Forged FMIC to bigger FMIC 7 inch types? 3) While upgrading the turbos, is it cost effective to upgrade the lines and vaccum lines ? If so, please specify what lines need to be changed ? 4) I hear Forged has a DV so which type of spring should I choose since at this moment I have no clue what is the PSI of a stage 2 turbo. 5) Dealer advise upgraded turbo would be BMS flashed. in that case is my COBB AP V3 useless ? or can they tuned via COBB ? Your kind input and guidance is deeply appreciated since my first time upgrading to a stage 2 turbo ... Thank you in advance! |

2)Forge should be fine. I use a 6" ER intercooler which works really well. 3)I only changed the lines included in the kit. 4)The Vargas Stage 2 came with a Forge DV. Use the strongest spring Forge has for it. 5) It should be possible to tune flash only (up to 21psi). However it will likely be more difficult than stacking with a JB4 or some other boost controller. Either way you still want the Cobb for a backend flash at a minimum. |

2) ok. thanks. 3) I am thinking to update the lines since I am taking out the turbos (car is 3 yrs old plus) ... 4) I am not taking vargas stage 2 ...at this stage but another reputable turbo company but I see they are using stock DV. 5) Dealer say it might be via BMS flash. I am insisting for cobb Thanks for your kind reply and guidance. |

If you aren't going to use ethanol this should give you an idea of the results you should expect.

Just curious .... is the Stage 1 fuel LPFP upgrade kit suffice ? or is it a must for stage 2 ? Talking about stage 2 turbos only. not going to mod the engine further. |

If you are only going to use normal petrol I don't think you'll have to upgrade the fuel pump at all. I upgraded mine because I'm now using a e85 mix.

Can I reconfirm the stock LPFP if suffice for RON 98 petrol for stage 2 turbo ? Reason why I am asking is the lack of professional tuners here locally. I am flying in one. He is not going to take for more than 2 days to tune my car. So if my LPFP fu*k up then my car would not be tuned proper. I will update further once my new turbo arrives. It is not Vargas .... |

However if you are a going to the trouble of flying in a tuner then might be worth upgrading it just in case. You don't want to go to the trouble of flying someone over and then find the hardware isn't up to the task. |
