Just get to a wash bay in the middle of the day. As long as it's above freezing temp you're golden

+1. The booths near Canton were awesome last time I used them.

I've been guilty of 37-40 degree car washes before.

Do any of the touchless car washes actually work?

Last year I ran a hose to the hot water line of the sink in my garage and used the pressure washer a few times. My neighbors think I'm insane. I just smile and give a huge wave when they drive by...

ska,
I've used those ramps 4 or 5 times already, they are great!

I use touchless to get most of the crap off. Then I go home and do a two-bucket rinse-free wash with warm water in the garage.

I detail cars in the summer and on weekends, and in the winter I use a heated garage, let car sit for a bit to get to same temp as garage (body panel temp I mean) and then use Chemical guys Ecosmart, full waterless detailing system, works wonders and leaves a great gloss!

Since my complex removes the water hose at the onset of winter, I go to my buddy's house and use his hose (he's got warm water too which makes it even better) But if I cannot hand wash it, I just let it stay dirty !!!

Touchless are kind of worthless imo. I don't wash my cars in the winter, it's just going to get dirty the next day/week. Spring they get detailed and then just home washes the rest of the year.

I tell them not to wash my car when it is in for service as they swirl up the paint as bad as the car wash!

Honestly what is the point of washing a car in the winter? One week later it looks like crap. All the salt and crap you get off is just on the paint for the most part. Just consider it 1/4 of the year you don't have to clean it. To each their own...

I just pay for an unlimited touchless wash down the street from my house. I don't care if it doesn't do a 100% good job I just want the sand and salt off the paint to prevent rust

That's the thing even if it stays dirty you want to wash away the salt! I did the same when I was running the bimmer in the winter.

The best washers have the under spray as you enter the car wash to get all that salt off the bottom

There is a hand car wash near my house. Entire car is washed by hand, they do a good job and it's $20.
