watch out for CHP: yet another unmarked Dodge Charger
all,
last night i was driving on NB 101 in Sonoma county, and saw yet ANOTHER COMPLETELY unmarked dodge charger (this one was black, the last one was silver) pull someone over. no markings, just LED flashers on the rear parcel shelf and behind the front grill. however, both cars had those goofy black wheels w/ silver centers that you typically see on pig-mobiles. just a heads up to the folks in the bay area. i'm pretty good at IDing crown vics, even at night, but i'll hafta pay attention and slow down until i see a couple of these chargers at night. |

Driving from Pasadena to Irvine this morning for the C&C...seen 3 CHP cars and one bike on the 5 (both NB and SB) and one on 605 NB....

If I was caught by a Dodge Charger I'd be ashamed of being pulled over by such a low performance car.

I don't see any if not much police cars in North America can out perform than your M5! The only time you will need to get caught will be by a Italian Police's Lamborghini...

We aren't in europe. . . If i was a cop i would gladly drive the charger. It's not like they have the option of BMW or Mercedes.

There was a police officer who was behind me for 15 minutes...he kept POP me, KA-band and my escort was going nuts.
I don't know what I was thinking, I just pulled over. Then the police car just floored it @_@ He was definitely messing with me. |

Same thing I do...... to avoid the hustle..... They tend to make you drive for about 10 mins and then finnaly pull you over, so pointless,.......

For some reason, from the start of this year I have seen a lot of police pulling a lot of people over. They are trying to start the year strong or something.
I just got pulled over on the 8th of this month, 15mph over the speed limit.... I was just following some in front of me, I guess I was the closest one so he pulled me over. Just my luck I guess. What a way to start the year. These days, they try to be very stealth with there cars. |

The chargers are actually faster than the crown vics... even the V6 ones. Tons of undercover craptastic cars like Dodge Intrepids (the really old ones), Ford Tauruses (sp?), and Toyota Camrys are out and about too. Don't know what has been going on lately but they've been driving around Alameda County.

I got pulled over by one of those dodge chargers in tustin, I went thru the intersection and saw the charger in the middle of the intersection SHE does a swift u turn in the middle of traffic to pull me over cause SHE said I wasn't wearing my seatbelt which I clearly was I think she was just hating or something but I didn't get a ticket because I told her she was clearly mistaken. Then "tried" to nail me for no front plates but I told her my car is brand new look in the window she felt stupid and said have a nice day lol. Irvine/Tustin be careful for your front plate's and your tint they are usually really bored out here.

CA police uses only KA band, right? My V1 KA band goes off when the office radar POP. Anyone else see other bands? I want to know so I can turn off the X and K bands.

The old Texas CHP Mustangs with Vortech blowers can catch most of you peeps. Those Foxbody Notches weighed 2500 lbs or less and were putting down 350+ to the wheels.
