**Greater Toronto Area Service FAQ - Repairs/Bodywork/Mods/Etc**
For all GTA members, the following serves as a guideline to some of the most frequently asked questions on this forum. There are always multiple topics on these threads and in order to minimize the redundancy, I've compiled some useful information here.
1. Independent BMW Shops/Mechanics Some of these also sell performance / modifications
2. Recommended Dealerships (YMMV)
3. Paint/Bodyshops
4. Aftermarket Bodykits
5. Replacement Parts
6. Wheel/Tire Shops
I hope this helps some of you! Feel free to post in this thread with other shops for various specialities that I may have missed. I will update this post accordingly **This is NOT a discussion thread! Please keep all feedback/personal experience out of this thread. Let viewers make their own decisions on where they go for service. Disclaimer: The above is just a list of some of the more well known, tried & tested shops in the GTA. I am not responsible for your experience(s) with these shops whether positive or negative. This is simply a guide to some options that are available to GTA BMW enthusiasts. If a moderator could sticky this thread, it would be very beneficial to the members browsing this section for info...

Save your money and avoid a headache by avoiding European Auto Body, I went to have a new bumper installed and repainted after being rear ended. They ended up damaging the rubber seals around all the windows for some reason (looked like it got chewed up by a hungry dog lol), leather interior on the driver door got ripped and damaged (didn't even bother going back to argue just wanted to finish with the headache), one of the mechanics was putting on my set of winter tire/rims on and snapped one of the bolts inside and tried to hide it and argued it is 100% fine to drive off without and nothing would happen. Also my bumper wasn't even install on flush with the rest of the body of the car, had to have someone else install it again afterwards.
Just avoid them please. |

BMW Town and Country also now gives discount to parts (just say ur e90post/maxbimmer member), so you may want to update that as well.

AC Evaporator Replacement
Hi:
I am looking to get AC Evaporator replaced on my 2009 335i coupe. Endras has given an estimate of $3500 and car is out of warranty. Any suggestions on where to take in Toronto? I have called RMP and they said they don't do those. They suggested I should make sure I go to a shop which has done them many times as this is a job where experience of the tech will come into play as it is time consuming and complicated. I am looking to find out if someone on here had there Evap replaced and if so who/where it was done. Thanks all. |
