First Impressions - Eisenmann Sports Exhaust Full Cat-Back System

Those of you around the exhaust forums would know that I've been wanting to get the Eisenmann Sports Exhaust. So I got it installed yesterday (pics would come soon, videos..will I need to find something to record.....)

The mechanic/technician usually installs Dinan stuff (I went to BMW dealership) and he pointed out to me that section 2 of the system doesn't seem to fit perfectly. Depending on the heat cycle it might touch the car's heat shield or touch the bottom part of the piece keep the exhaust up, but for sure no rattle as of yesterday. The exhaust is quiet in the sense that the volume is not that much more than stock, definitely louder, but not a lot. He and I agree that it's good so that I don't attract attention (namely cops)

The LeMans tips look great, especially with my M-tech aerodynamic kit. The sound is slightly deeper now and since it's a full cat-back exhaust system, there should be some horsepower gain, how much not sure. At least on the usual road where I do spirited driving, my acceleration didn't feel improved. The sound is deeper also.

But this is just first impressions. Will drive it a few more weeks to give a proper full review after it has broken in.

PS: The mechanic/technician also suggested me to go back to him after a few weeks so that he can retighten and realign the exhaust system after it has broken in...what do you all think?

Whats the sound like between 1800-2500 RPMs? I seem to get some drone which got worse when I installed the magnaflow x pipe. Ive been thinking about getting section 2 installed instead

So he's saying that the SR pipe doesn't fit perfectly? That's the first time I've read of such a complaint with Eisenmann products.

it's not that it doesn't fit properly, well at least the mechanic at BMW of Nashvile (he's the guy that always does the after-market mods i.e. dinan, auto active werke etc) says it's a tight fit so if cold, it would teach the bottom plate that's holding section 2, but if it heats up, it teaches the heat shield of the car.

I don't know exactly what droning means, but definitely at 1800-2500 rpms, I do suddenly get this louder bass sound which I"m ok with for the time being.

Yup, thats the drone, and over time, its get more and more annoying. Especially at times when you cant drive fast and stay at higher RPMs, like when taking grandma out, or have the 8 week old baby in the car.

Im keeping the exhaust for sure, but not sure if I will get Section 2 (but doesnt seem to be a reason since you have the same symptom I do) or put the resonator back in.

well you have to give me at least one or two more weeks for everything to settle and break in. But so far I really dig it, the exhaust does sound different.

started my 335i E90 this cold morning and at idle there seemed to be some rattling noise. A quick prod on the throttle and no more rattling sound. After a quick trip to the post office, I started my car again and no more rattling sound at idle. Probably really something to do with the heat (weather) cycle the mechanic at BMW of Nashville suggested?

Lets meet up sometime to compare the difference.

I know the 335i sounds a bit different than a 330i, but just to compare Meisterschaft and the Sport.
