Rear Light Options for pre LCI e90

Firstly I hope you all had a good Xmas

Other than the Darklines what other options are there?
Does the LCI conversion just require boot lid and lights?

Cant make up my mind which way to go so any photos would help.

Bootlid, lights, the wiring isn't plug and play and you'll need coding.

LCI rear lights do transform the back of the car and easily hold their value come resale time

Oem Darklines

Easiest cheapest option and looks pretty good in comparison to the ugly stock ones

LED aftermarket lights off eBay, similar price to dark lines, but for me dark lines looks no better than OEM pre-LCI.

Before:

After:

When lit up, they are similar to Pre-LCI, but much brighter. They not quite OEM LCI, the inner light only has one bar rather than the two of OEM lights. You can now get ones of eBay which seem to have two bars.

But for me I'm not too bothered, day or night these look x10 better than my pre-LCI lights. Be warned Fitting isn't quite as 'plug and play' as advertised, some trimming was needed to get a flush fit....Though my local garage fitted them so I cannot tell you how exactly now much extra work was needed

No error codes though, or any coding needed.

They look good!
I think its down to the car colour as to which suits it the best.
For me, my red one looked crap with all red lights, so I got Dark Lines.
Going to LCI would give me all red again and not look as good

Darklines look no better than stock pre-lci lights?

Is your name stevie wonder or have you been smoking the herbal?

I can however admit your light choice is also an improvement (member with 20/20 vision)

Hence I said 'for me' ...We all have different points of view regarding what looks good etc, and 'for me' Darklines just don't appeal, and look no better than pre-lci OEM lights....But thats just me, and no one really cares what I thinks apart from me

I also think Darkline's look pretty much no better, and certainly not worth the money.

I wouldnt pay full retail thats for sure

Bought mine off a member for £140. Wouldnt pay anymore than that tbh.

When you see them in real life parked next to standard lights (my bro has an 08 e90) then the improvement is apparent

Never thought about the impact of red lights on a red car before seeing these pics....Dark lines do look better than OEM pre-LCI on LCI lights on yours!!

Lovely looking E91, not seen many in Red, the concave on the wheels look fab too!!

I initially used a tint film on mine, but after 3 months they looked like this So I decided to bite the bullet, man maths said £200 was pocket change compared to how much I've spent on mods for the car over the last few years so why not
