Kerbed Alloy - Repair Estimate
Kerbed my rear drivers side rear alloy this morning like an idiot. Don't ask how!
Photo attached, excuse the dirt on them, this is the first time I've not had chance to give it its weekly wash since I got it 6 months ago. All other alloys are mint and I'd be looking for something in the Lancashire area if I have to go to them. Anyone any ideas how much this kinda thing normally costs? E92 M sport alloys. Still really annoyed I was daft enough to do it!! |

sounds a little low to me. perhaps it's because I live in the rip off south of england but I don't know anyone around here that would charge less than £70 per wheel. repairs that small may be cheaper to do though.

ask around your area! do your homework first. i used to get 4 alloys refurbed in any colour for £100 2 years ago (properly done. baked etc after aswell). the guy moved abroad and then i had to pay £120 till then elsewhere.
huh really lol? £70 is diamond cut money lol or even more. |

Usually £60-70 depending on size. I'd sleep on it though mate. Is it really worth even £20 to repair that? You're going to end up with more at some point. I've only managed a few in 2 years, and they are annoying. But I wouldn't refurb them yet. Maybe if they were scuffed to pieces and I planned on keeping the car for a few more years I would.
http://www.lepsons.com/prices/ are the benchmark for down here and their prices show it. Best part of £300 for 4 corners. |

I note the OP is from Lancashire. I've used AWR in Bury on a number of occasions, the last occasion (March 2014) was for a complete strip and refurb of my 7 year old wheels. Prices for minor refurb or full strip and powder coat are competitive in my view and I've had no issues with service. See http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...6&postcount=12 for a closer look.

Depends around here anyway but the van type refurbishes charge around £50-£65+VAT per wheel, some of the better equipped non mobile places charge again from around £50-£80+VAT per wheel, but looking at that mark on OP's wheel the fix would be very easy, some confident DIY'er's would even have a stab at that themselves
Trade it'll be cheaper of course |

Thanks for the replies everyone. The damage consists of the chunk missing in the pic and scuffing at either side too (its not dirt lol). Admittedly the wheels are very dirty as I didn't get chance to wash last week. I normally wash every week so its going to annoy me on a weekly basis - possibly worth the £50 from that point of view. I'll inspect the rest of the wheel and other wheels to see if its worth getting others done at the same time to justify. Open to suggestions

Factor in the cost of materials, labour, insurance, rent, tax etc. and the business would be making fuck all.
