Exhaust Blow possible flexi joint...decat opinions

on my travels earlier i had to wade through some fairly deep water maybe 10-15cm deep. Car was fine but as i was keeping the revs up i accelerated out of the water after which my exhuast is now blowing!!!!! I didnt hit the water at speed just accelerated from maybe 15mph to 25mph while travelling through it.

Ive not been able to get it in the air to inspect but after some digging i fear it could be the flexi on the CAT (pre-LCI E90 320d) im thinking the excessive force on the exhaust as i dragged it through the water has damaged the flexi.

Has anyone had there flexi replaced?

Is it worth decat pipe instead of repair? any one got any experience on a 320d?

p.s. on the plus side i did lose another mudflap...only 2 more to remove

Funnily enough I was at a BMW indy this week and noticed a selection of replacement flexis on his parts shelf. So it looks like it might be a common problem and you can get replacement flexi joints. This was the indy:

wasn't the flexi the force of the water had pulled the exhaust back far enough for the downpipe to pop out!!! happy it was a cheap fix
