Made from imported Japanese SAE 4140 Steel. These are Forged, Double Tempered and Super Sub-Zero treated for unsurpassed toughness, with a proprietary surface treatment for increased surface hardness.

SPEC Racing Clutches


Stage 1: Features an integrally molded carbon kevlar-based, high performance organic lining that offers smooth engagement and excellent life. This lining has an integrally bonded steel backing for strength under high clamp loads and temperatures. The hub is heat treated for strength and durability. Best for street and many track/off-road applications.

Stage 2: Features segmented or full faced pure Kevlar disc with steel backing. This lining features excellent drivability like the stage 1, but offers slightly longer life and higher torque capacity. The hub is heat treated for strength and durability. Best for street, drag, pulling and autocross.

Stage 2+: Features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other. Bridging the gap between stage 2 and stage 3, the 2+ offers drivability and engagement quality characteristic of the stage 2, but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity. The hub is heat treated for strength and durability. Great for street, drag, autocross, road racing, pulling, rallye and drift.

what do you mean with OEM "reman"?

Isn't the unsprung oem disc a bit to harsch paired with a SMFW?

Thinking of shatter and droning?

This is a very popular combination now that is similar to a Stage 2+ in terms of performance whilst maintaining the stock pedal feel.

Thanks for the info,

but the stage 2+ has a dampened sprung disc to compensate for the missing DMFW.

The OEM disc is unsprung so the whole assembly with SMFW is completely undampened and could cause vibration and droning,
or am I wrong?
