Have I got a leg to stand on?
Hi guys,
I've noticed the last couple of days I seem to have the early stages of clutch judder. First and second gear, judders. Hot or cold, all other gears fine. October 2009 reg LCI 320D 107k Full BMW history 2 owners Original clutch as far as I know. I'm guessing with the age & mileage BMW won't do anything so I either cough up at an Indiy, or live with it? Thanks Jordan |

From the memory, one of the forum member bought it from ECP and changed it himself (with his mate).

I've heard off a mate who used to work at bmw it's not a massively hard job as long as have the right tools/ramp but guess could be said about anything, my local Indy said that clutch judder will happen in most 320ds and not a major issue unless it gets a lot worse.
Could still have quite abit of life in it though |

If parts are 450, come and take a drive down my side and ill get labour charge for around £150. Gearbox has to come out for most clutch and flywheel change. (Btw, you will change the flywheel wont you if your thinking of changing clutch)

You could try fitting a clutch delay valve, which gets rid of any delay. Quite a cheap and easy job to try. Can either buy one or mod your existing one.

![]() I think il be able to get a similar labour rate from our local mechanic as he's been the family mech for years. Il see how bad it gets first though as there's no plan to change car for quite a while now |
