Thumbs up Aplina B3 Trans Flash Done!

Big thanks to Stu from BMR@Advan for flashing my 335i late this afternoon with the Alpina B3 Trans Flash and on very short notice too!!

FEEL? - Car shifts much quicker and snappier now.. Very, very happy with it!

Not quite the DCT feel, but definitely a few steps closer...
Definitely feels much more solid now especially in a Tuned FBO Car when upshifting..Actually really puts you back in the seat when upshifting with higher boost.

Would highly recommend this to all considering.

Thanks Again.

D mode sucks but thats why theres S mode. Just move shifter to the left without touching the paddles and the car drives way good.

Yep - i always drive in S or M Mode anyway though so that doesn't faze me...

I only used to use D mode until the car had warmed up, or for highway driving.

one of the first things I did after getting my car. Stu, have you ever had any problems? I've noticed that mine sometimes won't shift if I'm WOT and shift early, it'll say M5 on the dash but the revs will still be high until I let go of the throttle and shift up again :/ not all the time but happened about 2-3 times in about 6months

Hi Stuart

Are you able to do this remotely ?

I am sure we can chip in ourselves to get the cable as required.

Worst comes to worst ill get my head around doing it (installing software and coding flashing myself) but just don't have any time at the moment and more than happy to pay for your services ...

I haven't noticed any problems, but I haven't driven/lived with it day to day where you are likely to notice these little niggles.. Best bet is to see other peoples feedback to see if it's an alpina thing or something specific to your car.

I haven't looked into remote coding.. I know it's possible and have been on the receiving end of remote coding before, but it is more time consuming with having to set up everything on the end user laptop. I will think about it over the next few days.. Else I will put you in touch with someone who can do it remotely

Can the Alpina Trans flash be wiped out if you take your car to a dealer? ie during a service?
