Issue with BC/non iDrive computer
Hi all,
Apparently you are able to check your oil level through the OB computer (see here). But for some reason I do not have the OIL menu option at all! I tried driving about for 30 mins so it warms up and then parking up on level ground.. it simply isn't there. Am I missing something? I checked my engine bay, I do have a dipstick as well but I thought there would be a menu option too in the newer BMW's? I did do some coding on the car, is it possible I "lost" the option because of that? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks Last edited by Sbm007; 01-14-2015 at 07:36 AM.. |

Can't be 100% sure but I imagine that because you have a dipstick, you don't have an oil level sensor.

Yep I believe you're right, I just read through the owner's manual and apparently the electronic oil level sensor is a feature not available on all models. Most likely I don't have it
