Basically, I couldn't wait for them to:

a) start selling the individual rock band guitar (sometime in March)
b) didn't want to pay ebay's ridiculous pricing on piecemeal RB guitars ($100

)
c) couldn't wait for the upcoming sony PS3 patch that would allow the use of the Guitar Hero 3 guitar with Rock Band.

So I bought an extra set and cannibalized the guitar and I'm now selling the following PS3 Rock Band bundle (again sans guitar):

1 x PS3 Rock Band game (factory sealed)
1 x Official Rock Band USB Mic (factory sealed)
1 x Official Rock Band Drums Set (factory sealed)

Will ship in original packaging box. Will include receipts.

I'm looking for $100 shipped, I accept paypal. I will work something out for local pickup. DC metro members get special pricing

The game itself is selling (on average) for about $35 plus shipping on ebay. The MSRP for the standalone game is the standard $59.99 pricing. The mic is selling for about $17 plus shipping and the drums set (standalone) is selling in the range of $60-$100 plus shipping

When the individual pieces go on sale in March 2008, the mic will retail at $29.99, the drums at $79.99 and the guitar also at $79.99 (according the Gamestop).

Notes:

1) Current Guitar Hero 3 players will soon be able to use their guitars with the Rock Band set as soon as the patch is released by Sony. The software developers are still searching for a middle ground. Wii and Xbox360 players are able to cross-use peripherals.

2) 3rd party guitars are or soon be available on the market e.g. Nyko

3) This bundle might appeal to parties who are only interested in the drums play.

In case you're wondering...still suck at it

Spool and Iatacs19 came over last night to have a go at it. It was a lot of laughs, but definitely more practice needed.
