helix attache vs sstt
scott aka bimmer33507 and i did a couple of runs after the SI meet.... scott had just got his helix attache updated during the meet... and i have the sstt in my car... we did 4 runs from 25 - 120+... i had my cousin with me so we decided to sit my cousin in scott's car...the first run was sort of trial and error so it didn't really count... the second run we did scott started gainin at higher speeds...so the next race we decided to sit my cousin in my car and let me tell you it wasn't even close... scott was about 3-4 cars ahead of me... and the last run i dropped my cousin off at the end and tried it... this time scott had about 2-3 cars ahead of me and still gaining....good runs... i have the last 3 runs on video.. i'm working on it to get it up... it was dark so the picture quality ain't that gr8....
conclusion :- helix attache is a great product ... his car is a lot faster than my car now...i don't think there was any dirver error involved in the last 3 runs...we did 4 runs back to back to about 120+ and scott'scar barely hit 250 degrees... i'll try get those vids up asap.... edit : here are the vids guys... couldn't do anything about the quality of the video... and i couldn't find a proper converter for a .3gp file so i had to use the one i could find.... video 1 -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB6gXw9JAGo bimmer335i07 - e90, helix attache , no passengers vs slick101 - e92 , sstt, with one passenger about 170 lbs (camera car) video 2 - bimmer335i07 - e90, helix attache , one passenger (camera car) vs slick101 - e92 , sstt, no passenger video 3 - bimmer335i07 - e90, helix attache ,no passenger vs slick101 - e92 , sstt, no passenger

Good stuff I'll be trading in my JB2 for an Attache once theyre released. Might even get their FMIC if that comes out shortly after, if not I'm just gona pick up the AA FMIC. Win/Win situation. Can't wait. Hope the price tag is still around $795!!!

It's a side road off the highway, it's about 3/4 miles long, so plenty of room to some runs. It was really desserted and there are no places for cops to hide. There's even enough room for 3 cars to run. lol!

Let me know when you get your V2, so we can do some runs. That road is perfect because it's a one way and you won't need to worry about oncoming traffic. The only thing is that after we do the runs, we will need to go around to do the runs again. All in all, it's a lot better than FBF.

For some reason, my intake temps were high from what Spartan8 (Anthony) told me when he was doing the update. My car felt slower than before. I think that I wasn't hitting the higher PSI that I was suppose to, due to the higher intake temps. I'm going to meet up withy Anthony this coming Saturday to do some more test. But regardless, the Attache is a great product and at a great price. You guys will definitely be happy when it's released. And the drivability is just like a NA V8. It is just smooth throughout!

what he is trying to say is we tuned in a high AIT boost taper schedule in the latest update, where the boost will maintain stable boost(at our max boost level of 14-14.5psi) negating the boost rise at high temps. What Anthony was saying is that on Scotts car the AIT sensor was reading higher readings than has been seen on my as well as Hypers car. what we are hoping is that there arent any changes from car to car in regards to the AIT sensor. When these guys come down next weekend we are going to check the AIT sensor voltage/temp sweeps, to make sure there are no differences. |
