CIC USB Music File Formats

Hi everyone

I have tried a search, but can't find much definitive info for my question :-

I want to re-rip some of my CD's lossless - and I do have an iPod Classic but for some reason that keeps freezing on me randomly (read something about the CIC and iPod classic sometimes don't play nicely together due to disk speed)

So, was thinking I would use DBPowerAmp to re-rip music to a lossless format.. question is which ones will play via a USB?

I thought WAV would play but I've just tried 16bit 44.1khz and that came up invalid file format. ALAC (Apple lossless) will play via iPod but not via USB

car is 2011 MY, LCI with Pro Nav if that matters.

Is there any updates to the CIC i could try?

cheers in advance

Garry

try simple wav, without any compression, simply grab cd tracks and put them without playlist
they work fine
i've plenty of them on ssd and they sound good via armrest usb

Hi there,

Thanks for the tip. Will try that later

But could you just clarify, what rip method and software do you use to grab the CD tracks?
I'd already tried wav at 16 bit 44.1k which I'd thought is the CD normal standard
Cheers again

yes, this is ok
usb storage should be formatted only to FAT16 or FAT32, not ExFat,HFS or NTFS
