Drop in MPG E90 325D
Guys
I have a 2007 E90 325D M-Sport Auto and lately i have seen a drop in fuel consumption. I googled it and one of the common issues was the thermo, i looked at the hidden Menu and checked the Temp After 10 Miles it was 59, 20 miles it was 65. The highest i had was 72. What is the ideal coolant temp? Anything else that could be causing it? Cheers |

Mine was just as yours just before crimbo after 10 or so miles 73c was my limit...i took the EGR stat off and really struggled to blow through it so ordered a main stat from ALLGERMANCARPARTS £44.00 delievered for a Genuine OEM main stat, fitted it myself ( 330 D ) and my temps are averaging between 85c/90c now..

Hiya
I had mine done last week. Was hovering around 62 and 72 and since they've been replaced it's staying around late 80s. I got both the main and the egr start from GSF for £59, was £75 but if you order online and collect from the store you get a voucher code which gets you a 20% discount. |

Right, could be a related issues or not but just been out in the car today and it felt a bit under powered, normally when you put it in Drive it moves forward but hasnt of late.
Done a couple of miles to the shop and back and when i got home it was smoking a bit and a burning smell lingered. Any ideas? |
