Lost in a race and loved it!

So yesterday I’m coming up from St. Louis and im on a country highway, the roads were totally empty. All of the sudden I see headlights approaching me quickly. I look down and Im doing about 80mph. All the sudden the car slows down when it’s closes in and slowly passes me, it’s a Black 997 turbo. Im like damn, I have to try that. So I don’t punch it right away I just keep pace with him and all the sudden I hear him down shift and he slows down to about 80mph (we were doing about 95) I slow down with him, seeing that I wanted to play he just punches it, I do too. He gets a jump on me by about half a car I hold it there until about 100 then he starts to slowly pull, I just keep my foot on the gas. Im looking down 130 and he's on me by about 2-3 cl's, Im thinking to myself, this guys got some balls! So I keep pushing it. I get to about 160 and then finally shut it down, he was at this point just so far ahead that I don’t even know how many car lengths It would be 10-20? my heart was racing but it was good I think he must have done like 180-190. What an adrenaline rush. The sound of that car was wicked! I don’t know if it was modded or not but it was sick, black on black wheels and a red strip around the wheels. Just thought I would share that experience.

Very nice....

One of those played with me the other day when I was in the Crown Victoria. I sped by him, so he was nice enough to mess with me.....

Couldnt Have bEen Bone stock cuz it would have had a limiter at 155.

An indicated 160 on the 335i will be about 150-152 mph which the stock 335i will do before limiter cuts in around 150-155 mph.

Plus Chitown has v2 procede, he may have loaded the speed limiter delete file.

He has speed limiter defeat on his 335i using the V2, been discussed on previous threads.

He doesn't have sport package so limiter would be 130mph

not trying to be an armchair quarterback, but if the car you are playing with is faster,
i do not think it is a good idea to let him "get the jump on you!"

pretty cool that the OP with prcceed 2.0 was in the game for a bit

awesome car that just crushed you.

Here are a few shots I took of the one at the local drag rental this fall. he turned in a few high 10 second quarters....I think it only had a chip but i'm not sure.

edit: you can see WilyB's car...well wheel underneath the 997 in the 1st shot.

I do have my limiter removed by V2.

Your right i did remove it Via V2. Hey I see you have a silver e90 with m6 reps, Can you post a pic for me to see how they look on it. been thinking about those rims for a while but couldnt find pics.

Yeah, it was a good time, my goal is to one day keep up with one or crush it. Im not sure if that was a stock car or not though, the exhaust sounded wicked and the car did not have the stock wheels on, I havent seen too many in person but I think it was lowered too.

I really like CSL reps, but they are too common, even in Nashville where no one has
anything done to their car

I have the same - a black/black 997TT - it is a frikkin beast...we use it in Seattle as a benchmark for testing V2 etc. ie. how many CL's does it have from various speed ranges...
