Micro-scartches on wood trim
How do you guys remove the tiny micro-scratches on the wood trim?
I got them after I tried cleaning it with a microfiber cloth. |

A light polish like a Menzerna SF4500 and a small polishing pad will take care of them...You might want to tape up around the trim though so you don't accidentally buff the leather, or better yet take the trim pieces off to polish. The wood trim is clear coated just like your paint.
In the future when you clean the trim, use a quick detailer spray and a soft MF towel just like you would your paint. |

To dust off the trim, don't use any towel, I would recommend swift duster, this wont put micro scratches in the trim.

Do not touch, do not pass, do not collect when dealing with wood and plastic trim!
You can try to hand-polish using Menzerna PF2500, followed with Menzerna SF4500 using Lake Country white foam pad and grey foam pad respectively |

Alright, I also have marks on the dash pieces, for example below the steering wheel where your knees might hit. Or on the E92 lower door panel (different material than the dash), sometimes my shoe hits it while climbing out. I tried a microfiber and water and it removed the dirt but it feels like my knee hitting the dash area scuffed the rubber or something?
And the same thing happened, I think the previous owner put some velcros on the seat belt lock next to the center console and the velcro scratched up the rubber on the console panels. How can I fix that? |

The most economical way of achieving this is to
a. buy glaze or wax and apply to trim in layers b. buy a grey foam pad 4" and your choice of finishing polish like Menzerna SF4500 I tried the b. approach last night and I can only achieve 50% correction with hand buffing using a grey foam pad and SF4500 I am going to try to use the dual action random orbital to see if it makes a bit of difference |
