PROcede v2.1?

A thread directed toward Shiv...

Although I've been enjoying an error-free PROcede v2.02 (at 94% TQ Curve values) for a while now , I was just curious when the v2.1 map might be available?

I've heard that Shiv and the guys at Vishnu were working on making a bit more power (lower end perhaps? ) and a few extra goodies in the goody bag with v2.1.

Also, will there be more power with just the std. v2.1 map (w/ stock airbox, stock exhaust, and stock DPs) or only for those ppl with some/all of these other mods (stage 1, stage 2, etc.)?

Yeah but I think the new map he is working on is setup for DP and exhaust....both that you and I don't have...

I am already working on a exhaust, but no one is currently making one that is from the catback for a E93

I am thinking of the CP-E exhaust, but have to modify the 2nd part of the connection to fit the crossbar that the E93 has....I just want something thats a bolt on, but I think i have to modify it

I wouldn't expect much in the way of a power increase with v2.1 over v2.0.2 on a stock intake and stock DP car.

If anything there may be more torque delivered down low, but really, to make more than about 360 rwhp on these cars, you need at least a CAI or aftermarket DP's.

I think v2.1 will be more user friendly allowing (hopefully) user adjustable torque settings that are GEAR and RPM dependent, instead of just RPM dependent.

I know there is the talk of "launch control" and one or two have said, "this car already has launch control, it's called DSC"
But that statement is just false.
DSC is not launch control, but rather launch failure.
It doesn't cut just the right amount of power to allow perfect launches, it cuts power abrubtly and ruins launches.

Having control of DSC and the ability to (when accelerating hard in a straight line) interfere less, but still cut just enough power to keep the tires from spinning too much would be awesome.
Though admittedly I think that's a LOT to ask for.

If those are the mods that it will take to get the most out of the newer map, than Im going to be forced to get the downpipes and vishnu's intake... I dont mind though...

And I haven't seen any real impressive 1/4 mi. trap speeds with JB2 or JB2H cars either (other than the tuner's juiced up car). Plus, all the great ETs have been with DRs and/or running on race gas.

Did I say you were supposed to? All I am saying is that people shouldn't be surprised when the tuner has the highest dyno numbers. That applies to track times as well.

You must be really insecure about something because you always get offensive about anything said about the PROcede. I wasn't even talking down on the product, and I was speaking about all tunes in general.

The PROcede is a great product, and has been having great results. Be happy with what you have, and don't get pissed any time I post something. Especially when it wasn't biased.

Sorry, I misunderstood your intention. No, not insecure about anything, and +1...I agree that typically the tuner shows the highest/best numbers...especially one who dynos and goes to the track very often. I am VERY HAPPY with PROcede v2...just looking forward to continual improvements.

Good, so no hard feelings?

It seems like every time time I post to something in response to you we get pissed at each other...

Nah, I'm not that sensitive; there's many other guys that piss me off much worse than you.

LOL....

He was trying to tell me that the same applies to other tuners. He wasn't saying anything else regarding JB. Re-read the thread....

errr, ok so dumb question the E93 is NOT the same as an e92 undercarriage then ?

Damn, so where's this crossbar on the car that prevents e92 catbacks from fitting ?
