As long as it has all the parts should be OK if you have wiring.

Cars 09 and before have pre wiring and there is a DIY in the
DIY section some coding is necessary.
Didn't use to be that expensive new for the kit.

I just called a place that sell parts and they told me the alarm is coded to that specific car it came and I need to buy a new alarm to work for my car.
I was kind of skeptical about that. My car is 07 and I already have the wiring.

I think they may be BS ing you .

Well, that place is full o shit

You can install a used alarm in to any car, as long as you are pre-wired (which you should be) plus code the alarm.

It doesn't matter whether the alarm is new or used - it will still need to be coded to fully function.

I bought a used alarm off the forum, installed/coded in my 2009 E92 5 yrs ago
