Returning technic 650$ upgrade to stock (before tomorrow HELP)
e90 base stereo (no tweets), coded to hifi and technic ~650$ upgrade (dls r4, sws8, xd600/6)
Car is going back this week, inspection tomorrow. Lets hope they dont test the stereo functionality! everything is back where it belongs, EXCEPT: (and free to call me stupid if im missing something obvious) I cant get these connectors back in the speaker, and dont remember if the red one was ever used??? (is one of em for bluetooth stuff and other for regular stereo or?) Thank you what you see is the drivers door, red/blue and white/blue (i believe red/blue is positive) I shouldnt have cut the wires probably. Also there is the red and brown connector that i have no idea. they dont seem to fit in to the keyed slot in the speaker View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com |

You should have got the right connections instead of cutting the wires. You'll need the connector that plugs into the stock speaker. You can solder the harness back together if you still have the rest of it.

I think that was the only part missing from the set. or wasnt included normally with the harness.
so your saying its a harness then these 2 connectors? or should these 2 connectors fit in the stock speaker. i cant even find a photo of the oem speaker hookup, people seem to skip that part in youtube videos as well. (its blatantly obvious how to unhook..hah) is the red one for the under seat speaker connection? or what is that second connector for? |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...9&postcount=19 Not sure if you read the stickies but the first thing it says is not to cut any wires. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...9#post11237769 I don't know if you'll have any luck finding the end that plugs into the stock speaker. Maybe the dealer would have it if you can find a part number. I don't know what the red plug is for but it is not for the speakers or audio system. |

thanks, that is helpful and makes more sense.
I think that the red one was always left there, for cars with the tweeters. i believe i am simply missing the connector, I can probably source that and patch this up right quick Normally i would have kept the connector/end of wire to re solder and tube em, but no luck finding them this round. anyone else care to chime in? im going to hunt the parts now |

looks to be the opposite of this part: 61138373583
cant find anywhere though... although this doesnt quite look the same as the one in the speaker, but maybe considering this: Technic: "Pin 1 is Negative -numbers are molded in at the OEM speaker connector. Buy these at your dealer and don't cut the OEM wires: Speaker housing: 61138373583 Speaker housing pins: 61130006664 " which i should have done originally...but i should be able to get the opposte connector and be good. anyone know the part #? |
