Loud sound on acceleration

I think it's the turbo because it seems to only happen when building boost but I'm not sure

Any power loss? Could be a slight boost leak somewhere causing it to squeal.

Doesn't feel like there is any power loss, where could it be leaking from

Are you able to replicate this when the car is in neutral and sitting still or is it only under load and the car is in gear and moving forward? If the sound can be replicated while parked and in neutral, is any chance you could get a video of this sound while you stand in front of the car with the hood open? You might be able to isolate where the noise is coming from too.

Chargepipe. had this exact sound to a T. make sure you have it completely on the throttle body (top and bottom). Also make sure you have the O-ring installed correctly and that it did not shift during installation.

I played with mine a bit and the sound went away

It's either a loose connection on your intake/inlet or your have a bad boost leak somewhere. Was it silent before and just started doing it, or is it a new sound with parts that have been installed?

It sounds like a train horn, it's really loud and embarrassing honestly but hopefully I can narrow it down. When I get a chance I'm going to remove the entire CP and put it back on, maybe the dealer f'ed it up after doing some work on my car last week

Haha, sounds like one of those club sirens!!

Sorry.

Mine does an odd groan now and again, but doesn't seem to have any negative effects.

When it happens I'll just let off the pedal and then push it back down again and the turbo spools as normal.

I found a loose clamp on the passenger side bottom where the intercooler connects. I'm unable to reach it from the top of the engine bay so it looks like I'm going to have to have a shop put it up on a lift and take a look. I appreciate everyone's help!

The mechanic said that the hose to my intercooler was tucked behind the water pump and thermostat and wasn't connected at all. The dealership must have forgot to reattach it, being the morons that they are.

You have a boost leak. The same thing happened to me but the sound wast as bad as yours. I sent the video to burger tuning and he said it was a boost leak. Honestly it happened to me 2 days ago and I haven't had a chance to fix it yet

My intercooler was completely detached on one side because the dealership never reconnected it after service. Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
