need opinions on ebay rear lip spoiler
I've been thinking about getting a rear lip spoiler. Still looking at options and this caught my attention. Anybody here have any experience with the item below?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E90-328-...4f2873&vxp=mtr Looks good and will come painted. It's priced nicely ($90 shipped). Seller has 100% positive feedback. Any advice/feedback appreciated. I also like the high kick spoiler in another thread but no prices set for that yet. I think I like the non-high kick better. Thanks, Derek |

A lot of guys who buy the m3 rep spoiler regret it because it's too subtle. I got the performance spoiler and I'm happy with it. I think you can't really go wrong with any eBay seller for these spoilers. Never heard of fitment being off. It's a very basic product.

I just got one of these from this seller. It comes from Taiwan. Shipped via Fedex express. Arrived pretty quick. Packaged well. And paint quality looks pretty good (mine is sapphire black). Comes with 3m grey tape for mounting and surface prep stuff for better adhesion.
Didn't put it on yet because its cold and salt is everywhere but as soon as its warm enough it goes on. |

Thanks for the quick replies, guys!
wdeerfield, thanks for the link. Do you own this product? bimmette, I think I prefer the more subtle look. But like I said, still in the deciding stage. belcom, I'd be curious to see your results. |

tara has an e93 so she was able to get a high kick for that. Us E90 sedan guys do not have a high kick version or any relatively cheap painted performance low kick options.

I just ordered the ebay low-kick performance spoiler this week for $128 shipped. I went with it because I think the E90's bubble butt needs a little more than the lip spoiler.

Sure, here you go:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221623451117...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I haven't received it yet, so I can't comment on the quality or fitment. Others seem to have good luck with ebay spoilers, so I took a chance. |

IMO...
m3 rep- can't go wrong, clean subtle look but still give a ittle sport look to it. high kick- Don't like at all, I don't think it fits the car well, maybe just the pics I've seen low kick-ok, I've only seen very few pics, like better than the high kick though. OEM- I think I actually like this one the best so far, little more noticeable than m3 lip but still clean looking. Fits the body of the car very well (almost want to say perfectly) |

I just got my spoiler from emotors2000. I believe they might have packaged it before the paint dried. The paint finish looks pretty bad. I sent them a message on ebay. Still waiting for a response. Below are some pictures of it (sorry for the large size of pics).

Maybe I didn't search enough, but this is the first time I've seen a painted performance spoiler this cheap (only seen CF on eBay, not painted - ended up getting a CF and wrapping it instead). Is it me or does this seem even more low kick than the standard sedan performance spoiler? I feel like mine has a higher kick than that. Is it just me?

Received my spoiler today and it's garbage. It was packaged very well, but the auction said it was PU, but the spoiler I received is obviously fiberglass. The edges are not a uniform thickness and are very wavy. I messaged the seller asking for an exchange for a PU spoiler or a refund, so we'll see what he says. I would advise against ordering the spoiler from the link I posted until I get the situation rectified. I'm at work but I'll post pictures later.

I got a response from the seller apologizing for the mix up, and he offered to let me keep the spoiler and refund me $30 (haha!) or return the spoiler for a full refund. I am going for the full refund, but told him I will not pay shipping, as I was not sent the item I paid for. I paid $38 shipping, but I'm not sure how to get him to cover that. I am waiting to hear back.
Here are some photos of the spoiler: |
