I have an 07 328i are the sensors compatible for both left and right for the fronts or do I need to get a different one for each side.

Not sure if I understand correctly your question however,
There are only 2 brake sensors on the entire car.
Front left
And rear right.
Both are different in fitment.

Thanks for the reply! I called the dealership and they verified that with me too. I changed my brake pad sensor and my brake light seems to be going off still. What else should I check?

You have to reset the sensor you replaced on the car's CBS system.

Alternatively you can cut the wires on both sensors, twist the wires together and swap them front and rear then reset both sensors so you never have to worry about them going off again.....

Most people don't need an electronic sensor to tell them when their brakes are due for a change..

Do this.....set it and forget it.

Note for the 2 posts above.
Both fellow Canadians.....ehhhh.
I deal with the cash cow items differently.

Look up who in your area sellers Beck/Arnley parts.
Yes it has a / in the name.

I paid 12$ for each sensor compared to 45 at dealer.
And paid a local shop to do my brakes 60 for front and 60 for back.
Brakes are not rocket science that you need a special BMW mechanic to do.

Just how I deal with cash cow items.
Look up a YouTube video on how to reset your service lights.

More info on the brake sensor fooling please?

You just twist the wires together on the sensor to caliper end or sensor to car end?? And then put the front sensor to the rear and vice versa?

Do yourself a favor an just buy new sensors and then reset the brake sensor setting.

While you can fool the system, why not use the sensor technology to help you avoid letting the pads get too worn in the future!
