Wheel and tire warranty from Safeguard

Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know that if you purchased the wheel and tire warranty from Safeguard through your BMW dealership, it covers ANY wheels and tires on the car at the time of the incident. Which means that if you have aftermarket wheels & tires or even different OEM wheels and tires, it's covered under the warranty!!! I just confirmed it, twice!!! Now that I know, I will definitely be upgrading my wheels and tires soon!!!

Just thought I'd let you guys know. Btw, I already changed 1 wheel and tire last week because there were 2 bubbles on the tire and the wheel was cracked. I didn't even know there was a crack in the wheel until my SA told me.

And another thing, they don't limit you on how many times a year you can have your wheel or tire replaced, due to road hazards. So, let's say if I break a wheel and tire every month, it will be covered. lol! Some places limit you one set per year, but with Safeguard, there are no limits. Now, I don't need to worry about avoiding potholes.

Wheel and tire warranty FTMFW!!!

Now, I can shop for new wheels and tires!!!

Guys, this is only for SAFEGUARD that is sold at BMW dealerships. I don't think they all use the same company.

If you guys want to check your warranty, just call this # 800-742-7896. Remember, this # is for the people that have the Safeguard wheel and tire warranty.

That's what I thought too! My SA didn't even know. So, he gave me the # to call up Safeguard and they pulled up my warranty info and told me that it covers any wheels/tires on the car at the time of the incident and that it DOES NOT have to be the wheels and tires that came with your car.

Again, JMK sells 2 different wheel and tire warranties. As long as you have the Safeguard, you're good to go.

If you want to check, just call this # and give them your first and last name and they will be able to verify.

Seems like you're always having problems with your clear bra. lol! Remember the last time at Mitsuwa?

But lucky for you, you have the clear bra there to protect the paint.

hmm i find it hard to believe that this company will cover any wheel/tire combo you have even its aftermarket. thats a first. i would call to confirm that. you might be misinformed. what i think the company means is that it can be any kind of OEM combo, like say you had your originals replaced and they replaced them with another OEM they are covered, but to cover a different company altogether thats kinda unbelievable. i duno maybe its true. just a ? how much was this warranty?

I have confirmed twice. Since this insurance is sold through BMW and not owned by BMW, I'm guessing that's why they will cover any wheels and tires. Plus, if you think about it, most aftermarket wheels will cost less than OEM BMW wheels, so they end up winning, from that stand point.

If I remember correctly, it was $700 for 3 years.

I know. If I had known that, I would have done the same thing. I'll definitely go with them when my warranty is over.
