Best Auto Body Shop - Boston

So somebody was nice enough to dent in my bumper while my car was parked and unfortunately decided that they didn't feel like being an adult that day and leaving a note so I'm stuck looking for a good auto body shop for my 2009 335. Anybody have solid recommendations on where I should take it? Any feedback is appreciated.

I would suggest Maaco...

This question just needs to be a sticky, its about as common as what muffler should I buy...

Maaco?!?!?! hell no, they're cheap, but you get what you pay for. My buddy had his Infinity repainted there and they put the Infinity badge letters on crooked.

It's a little north of the city, but if you want quality, its WELL worth it. I've had over 4 cars painted here and custom fab work done as well. The owners are 2 car guys that get it!

BTW- how did you get a dent in plastic / fiberglass front bumper? Same thing happened to me, but it didn't dent, they put a hole in the bumper.

Mike's Auto Body in Malden. A semi blew a tire & the tread tore up my bumper & my entire undercarriage. Mike's did a perfect job, color match was 100% (Silver is difficult to match), all seals & whatnot fitted correctly. Best part is they didn't drill holes in my virgin bumper! Picked up a tow hook plate frame, car looks much cleaner now

Wink

I'm not sure at all how it ended up denting. I figured it would have cracked as well especially with how cold it's been. I've had one person recommend Boston Village Autobody and another say they've had good experience at Mike's in Malden so it seems they are on track with what you guys are saying. After looking at the yelp reviews for both though I think I'm leaning towards Mike's in Malden. Thanks all for the feedback.

PS - I did search the forums but as we all know things change and I was looking for updated feedback on the best options. Heaven forbid there be some interaction on these forums.

haha Just giving you a hard time. Obviously the Maaco was sarcastic comment.

Stick with Mike's, I bring all my cars there. Redid my whole quarter panel, Mtech bumper, did my Dads M5 fenders and bumper, He is top notch, stands by his work and prices are competitive. He knows BMWs in and out also.

After seeing the quality of work, I'll be bringing my custom paint projects to Mikes this year.

Mirak in Arlington has been very good to me, particularly with matching the subtle orange peel on BMW paint.

Mike's!

Just a bump to recommend Mike's in Malden. Mike recently replaced my front bumper, hood, one headlight and misc other parts due to a relatively minor insurance-covered incident where I got cut off by an inattentive driver (I'll leave it at that ) who backed out of a driveway right in front of me. Relatively minor damage, but you know how this stuff adds up. Mike managed to work with the insurance company to have OEM parts covered instead of the used and aftermarket stuff originally specified. The final product was perfect (ended up painting the whole front end of the car) and delivered as rapidly as possible for quality work. Mike's a great guy and all of the folks in his shop are a pleasure to work with.
