Limp?
Ok I was doing some data logging tonight and everything was running strong. I did 3 runs nice and clean and then on my 4th run I got limp right at a 3rd - 4th gear shift. I wish I had my creader, but I had sent it in to Vishnu to get replaced, so I couldn't pull the code. I pull over shut off the car and start it back and everything is fine. Ran the car hard again to see if I could induce the limp again, but no luck. I called it a night and came home. I've been running with v2 for over 700 miles now with no problems and then now tonight I got this limp doing a redline pull from 3rd - 4th.
I'm running Shell 91oct, same station I've been using since day 1, so I don't think it would be bad gas. I just wish I had my creader so I could of gotten the code. I'm also running the latest firmware and map (1-10-08). Any suggestions? |

It has been running fine this whole time I've had v2 and I've ran it more then a dozen times to redline in 3rd. I'll try some more runs tomorrow to see if I can recreate the limp, but I can't read the error since the creader is in the mail. I do have the log when it hint limp if that helps shiv. |

I found this interesting, but thought I'd share. My first two runs I did at 5800ft and my peak boost was 13.1 @ 90% UT. My last two (4th run I induced limp) were at 6300ft and my peak boost was at 11.8 @ 90% UT. I was going to up the UT to 92%, but I induced limp and called it quits for the night. I just found it interesting that 500ft caused a loss of 1psi in peak boost. These were all done on flat straight "tracks" . At idle, at 6300ft I see -2.6psi. I do live at 7100ft, but due to the roads at this elevation their not flat enough or straight enough to perform these logs.

Oh... i wasn't aware that you live at that kind altitude. That explains a lot. I suspect that you aren't able to even achieve the desired boost pressure way up there. This is why you are throwing a code. Email me at shiv@vishnutuning.com and I'll tell you what parameter to log and I can make a quick map adjustment for you.
