Rear Lights - OEM to Lamin-x to LCI Reps
Hey Guys,
Thought I'd share my mods this weekend. Originally i had standard OEM rear lights, look very dated in my opinion. ![]() Then onto the Lamni-x about a year ago.. ![]() Now i've gone for the after market LCI reps. They are good quality, figment is slightly off, but after a little playing them seem to fit ok. ![]() Also managed to remove the old car phone in the armrest and replace with try, freeing up a little space. ![]() Next up is polish, debadge and paint the rear valance in matte black to match the grill. ![]() |

I went down the exact same rout with the light on my E90.
I've got the same one, they look good at night, only difference between OEM LCI is inner light has one bar on these, and two on OEM. There are other aftermarket light (eBay) which do two bars. Mine needed no coding, but occasionally throws a 'brake light bulb failure' message, maybe once a fortnight. But I've sorted that through coding. Replicating what the light look like is hard to do in a photo, these are the best I got....With a proper DSLR and playing with the exposure/focus settings you might get better pictures, but I couldn't be bothered with the effort ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Only issue is the 'bulb failure' message that occasionally comes up, but I've sorted that now by disabling the bulb checks through coding. |

![]() no, to me, tinted lens are late 90's. The one colour just looks modern. both look good, just prefer later style. I've got some pictures i'll add tonight. It's very easy and costs £15 |

I just done the tray mod myself. Never realised how easy it is to remove the old junk phone holder.
I'm loving the rear lights although don't like the fact that they don't fit straight. Think Ill go OEM myself. |

I prefer the laminx to the aftermarket tails you have, would love to do this to mine but is there any way to match the red, the laminx looks slightly faded/off compared to the rest.
