F80/F82 M3/M4 S55 HPFP Setup in 335i?
Hi everyone, I've been searching for this but have not found any relevant information.
Has anyone attempted at fitting the dual piston HPFP setup from the F80/F82 M3/M4 into the N54? Is this a possibility? I know the dual HPFP setup from the S55 is staged (the second pump being activated at 3000 rpm) and that the S55 has different injectors, but what I do not know is whether these two factors (as well as others) pose impassible barriers to retrofit this fuel setup into the N54 to overcome the HPFP failure that so many people continue to experience in the 335i. I feel like this system would be a great alternative to the N54 HPFP issues that no one can seem to bypass. Any and all *helpful* input on this topic would be greatly appreciated Last edited by 1st; 03-09-2015 at 10:54 AM.. |

DME control is mainly why. They will bolt in IIRC, the ner n55 motors have the piston type also but its different from the the S55 and it still boils down to DME control.
