urea drain with an oil change really needed?

so like it says, is it really needed to drain the exhaust fluid with an oil change? pretty much doubles the price. i drive a lot, so i don't think it being there for too long is an issue..

BMW was worried about crystalization in the lines. Turns out to not be a problem. However, there are problems with sensors and pumps.
