Help w/ DP Fix

It's that time for emissions testing. For anyone local to the Chicago, I would happily pay someone if they could come out to the west burbs with their DP fix and install in my '07 335i just so that I can pass emissions. I'm out in the Wheaton area, PM me if you can help a brother out. Thanks!

man, good luck... My dpfix never worked right... or else I would have happy to lent you one.

If you have to buy one, go with the VRSF ones. The first wedge one I got broke when I just got it dialed in, and second one never worked right at all...

I believe I read your post where you couldn't dial it in, which made me want to avoid attempting to do this myself. That said, it sounds like there are quite a few other who have had success with it, just hoping one of these kind folks can give a brother a hand. Otherwise I just might have to swap DP's which I REALLY prefer not to do again.

If either of you guys would be open to letting me borrow/help me install to pass emissions I'd be happy to pay you for your time :-) it's either that or remove/reinstall the DP's which I REALLY prefer not to do.

I've just heard that the DP fix can be really finicky and would rather have someone give me a hand that has successfully installed one and passed emissions testing with it.

I can help you with your own. I prefer not to remove mine as its kind of a pain with all the wires and worrying about it not working after reinstalling

I believe Shiv had a tutorial on this. It's essentially a voltage divider and you have the post-cat sensors receive a linear fraction of the signals from the pre-cats. Most solution out there including the VSRF's posted above only utilizes 1 voltage divider and feeds both post-cat sensors with the same data. I didn't like this so I built 2 separate ones so that if there are any deviation between the pre-cat sensors, it will follow through correctly.

I also built a switch to quickly activate/deactivate the dp fix so I don't have to take if out after the emission test. It's not recommended to run it full time.

If you would like to get one built for you, PM me.

Still doing these DP fixes? And can they be used on a car just running MHD, no JB4?
